He has been my personal and business mentor since the end of 2007. I have found him particularly skilled at allowing me to work through and find the answers to my “problem/opportunity” by asking questions and revealing the answers that are hidden inside of me because of my own fear or blocking. His background has allowed for him to come from a voice of experience and a knowing that everything is “neutral”. I have never felt judged by him and always empowered to go forward with another clear and concise goal or goals to work toward. I believe that I am a better person for knowing him and having him in my life. Thank you!

At a time when I approached a crossroads in my career, I chose to seek the advice of Prominent Personnel to offer guidance as I was evaluating possible career alternatives that would challenge me, hold my interest, allow me to apply my experience and skill set, and at the same time enable me to learn new information and skills. I had several possible careers in mind, one being Investor Relations – something I knew little about, but still had me intrigued. Catherine Brownlee offered to set up a meeting with her peer, to enable me to understand the business of Investor Relations, and potentially see if it may be a fit for me. My communications with him were amazing from the get-go. His knowledge and experience in his field greatly exceeded any expectations I had prior to our meeting. Not only did he show an interest in my desire to investigate opportunities for me in his field, but upon establishing that it may not be something I would find stimulating, he took the time to find out more about me, and offered amazing suggestions for several other opportunities that might be of interest to me in my future career. Needless to say I have not made a career move at this time. After meeting with him, I think one of the most important things I walked away with was a true sense of just how good of a fit my current career is for me – and truly just how much I enjoy what I do. My experience and time spent with him were truly a blessing, and I am so grateful that he was able to make time for me to shed some valuable light on his own career in Investor Relations and his personal experiences. I met with this person because I was stuck in every aspect of my life. I know what I wanted to get out of the meeting, but as we all know that isn't always the way it works. He gave me some small things to work on and ponder and that is what I did. Do I know what snapped me out of my 'stuck' behavior? No. Does it matter? Not really. A large part is changing your attitude, and allowing yourself to see things from a different perspective. While trying to keep on track, there was an upset at work involving the one person who I had worked closest with and confided in. He quit. I was lost. But then the big boss came in and talked to me because he heard that I was looking elsewhere. I told him what was going on, he suggested some things and I followed through. I am now more involved with my whole division, getting new projects and have a whole new direction for my future. I know have a plan and it feels good. I hardly have an 'oh poor me' day or moment, in fact I don't even remember the last one. Am I still searching for certain things? Absolutely. Am I letting it get me down? Not at all, it's all part of the journey and I'm making the best of what I have in the moment. It's good to know there are people out there who are willing to help others and the way he works was perfect for me. Will I need him again, probably but I'm ok with that. The next time I'll see him sooner rather than later and get out of a shallow rut as apposed to the large one I was in before. Or even just getting another perspective and not allowing myself to get in the rut in the first place. Thank you for directing me the way you did.

I have worked with him over the past four months to create a strategy to improve how I am positioned within my current employer. Right from the outset, it was clear he has an in-depth understanding of how organizations work and, more importantly, how anyone can improve their footing within their place of work. He has a keen sense of drawing out important information to reshape it into a strategy that has changed both how my employer sees me, and how I see my employer. We’re not finished yet. But, I am convinced I am on a path to success, with much credit due to him.
