For your immediate attention and information – we are NOT head hunters! We act as an agent for our Client to find suitable Candidates in our current network and database that will be suitable for their open Assignment. We will not go out to “head hunt” the Candidate as we do not want to “sell” the Candidate on the opening. We prefer that the Candidate is able to perform their own due diligence and make an informed decision based on what we have communicated, as well as their own network and research.
STEPS TO FOLLOW WHEN WORKING WITH PROMINENT PERSONNEL LTD.
1. Make sure your resume is current and complete. If possible, please consider having it professionally done by a credible resume writer. We have a few recommendations for this service and their contact information for your convenience is as follows:

2. Send your resume for our initial review, file and future reference (titled <your last name>.doc or .pdf) by email to people@prominent-personnel.ca. Including a copy of your references would be a benefit as well, especially if you do not have any oil and gas experience. Ensure your character or business references have contacts from the industry who can comment on the type of culture that you would fit.
3. Consider sending a copy of your resume to all applicable search firms listed on our website under Search Tips. You will find their specialties and email addresses there for your convenience.
It is also important to know that very few search firms have similar processes. Research each one before sending your resume to determine their methods.
Keep in mind that if a search firm does not have your resume on file, you may have fewer opportunities to choose from. Every search firm has a different network that typically works with that company exclusively. You deserve to be able to consider every great opportunity that is available.
The Privacy Act protects you and your information. It is absolutely illegal for any type of search firm to distribute your documents without your prior permission.
4. Watch your email In box for our bi-weekly newsletter, called Twomanaga News. It includes the most recent career postings , networking events and information on the next O&G Seminar. This well-received lunchtime seminar assists candidates in their career transition and search.
5. Check the career postings page on the Prominent Personnel site weekly. When you see a posting you are interested in, email us directly with the file number and we will send you the particulars and requirements of that position. You will then have a chance to perform your due diligence on the company to ensure you are interested in being presented to them. Once we have your written permission to proceed, we will do so.
After we have presented your profile, we MUST wait for feedback from our client. Please know that some files have been open for up to nine months, depending on what is going on with our client company. We ALWAYS send communication to you as soon as we have anything at all from our client. You will NOT hear back from us until we have communication on the status of your application - positive or negative. Whenever we close the file all candidates will be notified by email.
6. Should we be successful in placing you with a company, you are eligible to receive a placement bonus that will be determined at the time the file closes. You will be paid 50% of the bonus once our invoice is paid and the remaining 50% will be paid at the end of your guarantee period. REMEMBER - if you contact our client directly prior to presentation, we will not be able to present you and the placement bonus will be void.
7. We will keep you in our database for an indefinite period of time.Should you wish to be removed from our system in the future, please let us know and we will adjust accordingly.
